SharpSmart S14 Reuseable Sharps Bin

The SmartSharp reuseable sharps bin has been designed to accomodate all the usual items that are put in a disposable sharps bin.

The larger opening allows for easy disposal of larger item such as scissors and bulkier sharps.

The gravity balanced safety tray restricts hand access to contents and when the bin is full this is displayed on the bottom of the tray.

The bin has a temporary lock on the front and a carryinghandle makes it safe to move around and even better for mobile workers such as mid-wives and district nurses. 

Locking the bin is easily done by sliding the 2 permanent sidelocks. 

We are working with the suppliers of the Septodont sinigle use needle system, Ultra Safety+, as we had our dentists that had chosen to go ahead with using the Ultra Safety+ system for their practice asking us for larger sharps bin that they normally used.

When we sat and discussed the reason behnd this we quickly went looking for a solution and came up with the S14 bin.

It not only allowed up to 3 times more Ultra Safety+ syringes in it than a conventional 5Ltr bin it allowed the syringes to rest on their sides allowing a much closer fit inside the bin thus getting more syringes in it.

There is still plenty of spare room in the bin to allow other items such as burrs, drills and other smaller items to find a resting place in the gaps.

The bonus was that the bin was completely reuseable thus saving on the virgin plastic used to make new bins.    


The S14 reusable sharps container is designed for sharps contamined with medicinal and chemical products, and is ideal for patient room use and lighter sharps volume areas.
