Infectious (Yellow Lid)

Yellow lidded sharps bins are used for the incineration of "sharps" generated from any HEALTHCARE PROCEDURE that is deemed to be hazardous to human health.

These include Dentists, Doctors, Paramedics, Chiropodists, Hospitals, Acupunturists and many more.

They come in different sizes so the size used by each site will vary and probably be a few.

The size you will need to have should be judged by these 2 rules

All sharps bins must be sent for incineration 3 MONTHS from the 1st item being dropped in.
The size of the items being put in the sharps bin, syringes, needles only & acupuncture needles will all fill the bins ata different speed.

Therefore how long will it take, using my items, to fill the bin in 3 months.

All sharps bins have 2 closed positions, temporary which means you can reopen the aperture but will not allow items within to fall out if the bin is knocked over and locked closed where there is no way of reopening the lid. The lid should be locked when full or ready for disposal. this will allow for safe transport within the building and also by the waste disposal company.

Cytostatic, Cytotoxic and Facial Aesthetic treatment needles and syringes MUST NOT be put in a yellow lidded sharps bin.

The sharps bin range we use is manufactured to the most stringent quality and safety standards: BS EN ISO 23907, UN3291, AFNOR NFX 30-500 and ISO 9002.

SHARPS BINS SHOULD BE DATED, HAVE A  DEPARTMENT OR ROOM No. AND SIGNED BY THE PERSON "BUILDING" OR PUTTING THE BIN IN TO SERVICE WRITTEN ON THE LABEL.
